Albea Blanca is an amazing food retailer based out of Spain. Maria, the owner of Albea Blanca, searches out the trendiest in Mediterranean gourmet pantry staples. I was lucky to score some of these fabulous items and below are my concept ideas utilizing some of my favorites. Click the link above to access Albea Blanca's online catalogue.

Albea Blanca Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary's are the backbone of brunch. This is a take on the original recipe using elevated Albea Blanca ingredients. Black garlic, wakame spheres, sea salt flakes and spicy pimenton really take this Bloody Mary to the next level-the best I've ever had.

Sweet Pimenton & Black Garlic Focaccia

I spiced up traditional focaccia with pimenton and black garlic. I blended the pimenton with olive oil and liberally brushed the top of the focaccia throughout the baking process, the black garlic was added close to the end. The result was a wickedly awesome, savory and spicy bread-perfect for sandwiches.

Umami Ice Cream Sundae

Umami, that 5th magical taste, invoking savory salivating memories. Sweet and savory are as compatible as Jack and Jill, Ben and Jerry, peanut butter and jelly, bacon and eggs...or in this case vanilla ice cream, red wine salt flakes, charcoal salt flakes and white truffle oil.

Sardine Flatbreads

I reserved some focaccia dough to make flatbread crackers and seasoned them with the pimenton. They are topped with just about the best marinated sardines I've ever had from Macarena Tapas Party, pickled red onion, herbs and sprouts.

Italian Shakshuka

Two great Albea Blanca ingredients really elevate this classic Middle Eastern dish to new levels. The spicy pimenton adds a great smoky spice and the balsamic sherry vinegar (reduced) adds a touch of sweetness. This recipe pairs well with the pimenton focaccia-perfect for dipping.
